Kiwilatino is a Latin music project based in Auckland, New Zealand. We come from throughout North and South America and NZ. We write our own music: a new kind of salsa fusion, with roots in salsa clasica, timba, jazz and funk. Our own expression of Latin music, made here in Aotearoa NZ. Something our community can be proud of.

KiwiLatino is a centre of gravity for Auckland's Latin community. Our music is inspired by the classics of heavy salsa- Ray Baretto, La Fania, Cheo Feliciano. We also love modern progressive salsa and timba Cubana- and we bring our own touch of funk and Latin soul to the mix.

Not just a band, but also a reason to gather and celebrate our shared culture.
